Why this service?
Users wanted a shortcut for installing Freqtrade and getting started quickly without wasting time and effort on the initial setup.
Groundwork
- We show you beforehand how to create a throw‑away SSH key.
- We show you how to delete that key after the installation.
- We access your system using the provided SSH key and credentials and install Freqtrade for you.
Installation requirements
- An existing linux Debian/Ubuntu VPS, PC, or laptop that is reachable from the internet.
- If router or network issues prevent direct access, we can temporarily invite you to a one-time Tailscale network to enable the installation.
- You provide either a key file or password so we can perform the installation.
- You will be shown how to verify and remove our access afterwards.
Installation includes
- Installation of Freqtrade, either:
- with Docker (recommended because it automatically restarts services and is easier for new users), or
- as a bare‑metal installation.
- Providing helpful configuration files and example pairlists.
Options
You can choose the target configuration for the initial setup:
1. Backtesting setup
- Backtesting environment
- Webserver / FreqUI enabled
2. Trading setup
- Setup for dry‑run or live trading
- FreqUI enabled
- Guidance for configuring exchange keys
Additional guidance includes:
- Choosing your exchange
- Selecting markets and trading pairs
- Selecting a strategy or receiving pointers
- Viewing strategy analytics
It is recommended to start with a dry run before running live trading.
Credentials
You can choose whether:
- You provide exchange credentials during the installation, or
- We leave placeholder values (e.g.
[exchange_key]and[exchange_secret]) and show you where to insert your own credentials.
Security
We do not retain any credentials or keys after the service.
You will be shown how to verify and remove our SSH access after installation.
